When you call Arc Wheels, Rashaad answers. He writes the quote, does the welding, and hands the vehicle back. There is no service writer in between and no one to pass blame to.
That is why so many of the jobs here started somewhere else. A dealer quoted a whole new wheel. A body shop said the frame was too far gone. A muffler chain wanted to sell a complete system for a cracked joint. People find this shop after they have already been told no.
The work is automotive welding and metal repair. Cracked alloy rims. Rotted frame rails and trailing arm mounts. Exhaust joints, hangers, and converter flanges. Rocker panels and cab corners that Ohio winters have eaten through. Aluminum that most shops will not touch. And custom fabrication when the part you need does not exist anymore.
Some of it is not automotive at all. A mower deck that sheared off. A mobility scooter frame. A Juliet balcony built from a photo a customer sent. If it is metal and it is broken, it is worth asking about.

Northeast Ohio puts salt on the road from November through March, and that salt sits in the seams and cavities that were never designed to drain. It is the reason this shop sees the same failures over and over.
Rocker panels go first, because they trap brine along the pinch weld and rot from the inside out. By the time paint bubbles on the outside, the metal behind it is already gone. Cab corners and wheel arches follow the same pattern.
Underneath, the failures are structural. Trailing arm mounts and spring hangers are boxed sections that hold moisture, so they rust from within and then tear loose under load. Frame rails go at the crossmember tie ins and around body mount holes. Exhaust hangers snap where the bracket meets the pipe, and flex joints crack from the same freeze and thaw cycle.
What that means practically is that a repair has to go past what you can see. Welding a patch over rot traps the corrosion and it comes back, usually within a season.
So the process here is the same on every job. Cut back until the metal is clean and sound. Fabricate a patch or a plate to fit the actual hole rather than close to it. Weld it properly, dress the weld, then seal and coat both sides so the repair does not start rotting from behind.
That is slower than a quick patch, and it is why the work lasts. It is also why an honest quote needs a look at the vehicle rather than a guess over the phone.
Most jobs happen at the shop at 12212 Corlett Ave, off Corlett between East 123rd and Union. There is a lift, a bench, and room to take a vehicle apart properly.
